LINDA TEKELIOVÁ IS NOT AFRAID OF CHALLENGES!
14. 12. 2018
No challenge is big enough for our ambassador and elite-long distance runner, Linda Tekeliová!
She proved this when she put on our Kilpi reindeer mascot costume and went up to the top of the Lysá hora mountain in the Czech Republic. Those who were there, were able to meet Linda in fancy dress and take a picture with her.
At the Life festival in Brno in the Czech Republic, visitors could join our competition, where they had to climb the 700 stairs of the AZ Tower, the Czech highest building at 111 metres tall, on a fitness stair climber faster than even Linda Tekeliová. None of the participants, though, was able to beat her.
Obviously, Linda is down to do whatever. At the same time, she is also an excellent runner, who finished 1st in her category at the B7, a Czech extreme ski marathon race, and likewise at the LH24 winter extreme race.
And how did this lovely woman come to running? We asked her:
“I’ve loved sports since my early childhood. As a child, I participated in all sorts of school running races, which I usually won. My only opponent was asthma. Because of it, I could not do any sport to the maximum. But maybe I am glad about this because if I had started doing sport at a professional level, who knows what state my health would be today. If I look at people who have devoted their lives to sport since an early age, I can see that many of them have serious health problems. So I am happy I started doing sports at this level only in my adulthood. But it was only seven years ago when I got rid of all my breathing problems and could start doing all the sport activities I do in the mountains now. I also took a course for fitness trainers and subsequently other CrossFit and circuit training courses. I make use of them also in the mountains. Simply said, anything that comes my way and seems interesting to me, I immediately start doing it.”
We are happy to now have Linda on our Kilpi Racing Team!
