ADÉLA VORÁČKOVÁ SNATCHED THE CHAMPION TITLE IN THE SPANISH SERIES
27. 06. 2019
Adéla Voráčková went on a “trip” to another Spartan, this time to Andorra, Spain. And it was worth it, both from sports and tourist point of view. What exactly took place there? It was nothing less than the Spanish series finals. It traditionally consists of three ranked races (Mallorca, Madrid, Andorra) and Adéla had been attacking the top three ranks before the Andorra finals.
It took place on the 26 km long BEAST track, with a superelevation of 1,600 m and 30 obstacles. The racers ran mostly on ski slopes, but in some places the racers went through much more beauty, for example on the stones around beautiful lakes at 2,000 - 2,500 meters above sea level. "A positive thing is that I managed to clear all the obstacles (even the stick got stuck in the target!)" Adéla comments the course of the race with humour. "From the running point of view, it was worse - sort of tired and juiceless. And yet it was enough for the bronze position." It brought Adéla the overall victory in the series, and thus also the title of champion of the Spanish series!
But that was not all of Andorra. On Sunday Adéla took part in the 14km SUPER track. "There I already felt that I was running. Surprisingly, the obstacles went great again, I also enjoyed the view of some horses, who were just grazing there, and in the end, I flew through the finish line on the first rank with the support of Péťa, who was encouraging me and luring me to have a look at a foal. But what he did not know, was that I had had the foal in my head for more than an hour," the keen horse lover summarized the finish of the race. What kind of a foal was it? "A very lovely one that was grazing near our accommodation and was all kissable and cuddly."
