ADÉLA‘S TWO SILVER MEDALS AND BRONZE FROM THE OMAN SPARTAN RACE
16. 12. 2018
The Kilpi Racing Team has shone again. This time in Oman, where the Spartan Race was held in the middle of December. Credit for this goes to Adéla Voráčková. She took part in all of the three races there during the two days ( the so-called Trifecta in Spartan terminology) – Beast, Super and Sprint. Despite recovering from a cold, she was able to gain a medal in each of the three races!
In the first of the two race days, the most demanding and longest race (Beast) took place. 38 obstacles were waiting for the racers scattered along a 21km track. The terrain of the track was rather diverse, as Adéla confirms: “We ran across stony hills and sandy beaches (not a romantic experience at all, though) and we even swam in the sea. It was actually my very first race by the sea and it was amazing!” Adéla did very well in the race and for the most part, she was second. “But almost at the end of the race, I missed the target with the javelin and had to do 30 burpees. There, I was caught up by the girl behind me and I had no energy left to race, so I humbly took bronze,” Adéla explains.
The other two shorter races, Super and Sprint, took place the second day. The Super (14 km) race started as early as 7 a.m., followed by the shortest of the three, Sprint (8 km), beginning at 10:30 a.m. In both of these races, Adéla took silver, and thus completed her hattrick of successful medal races at the Oman Spartan Race.
Congratulations to Adéla Voráčková on such an outstanding performance and thanks to her for being a great representation of the Kilpi Racing Team.
