Breathtaking Canada through the lens of Martina Chrástková

To be able to teach cross-country skiing techniques properly, it is important to know well how your body works. And so Martina Chrástková, a former Czech national cross-country skiing team member, participated in a month academic internship in the Human Performance Lab of the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary.
She gained there lots of new valuable experience and knowledge that will improve her cross-country teaching techniques. Every free time she had, though, she went hiking or running in the nearby mountains – Canadian Rockies. Martina visited a number of amazing places, the best ones being Kananaskis Country Provincial Park, Spray Lakes, Fairview Mountain or Jasper National Park.
She also visited Calgary Olympic Park, which mainly refers to the Winter Olympic Games in 1988, which took place in Calgary. The city wanted to candidate also for WOG in 2026. But the inhabitants of the city voted in a referendum against it.
